NHM SPELLSONGS
BACK AT THE NHM
After my work on the Wildlife Photographer of the Year during the middle of the Pandemic, I had become hugely familiar with Hintze Hall and the staff that ran events at the Natural History Museum.
A good friend and colleague John Barraclough was now producing an evening of folk music in the same space and Flux asked me to assist the project as a project manager and stage manager on the night.
A MAGICAL EVENING
I helped the rig of the event by managing the logistics and load ins. I knew the layout of the museum and I could efficiently make use of this prior knowledge.
I was able to quickly brief the engineers, lighting, sound and camera teams on the best way to load in safely to such an old and precious venue.
STAGE MANAGER
In my teenage years and university days I spent a lot of time growing up around theatre and took a course at the London Academy of Music and Dance Arts (LAMDA) in Stage Management.
It was nice to flex those muscles again and coordinate the stage for all the talented musicians and the crew running the broadcast.
